32. Lies, Lies

Aha! – looks like the boys have been caught out! Harry from the British Council’s website gives his account on his first Speed Date. He says that when he mingled with some male veterans before the event started, the main piece of advice was:

“Always ask if they have come on their own … if they are there with friends they will compare notes and you need to make sure you don’t get caught out with inconsistencies”.

And from what else he said in this article, he implied that it was expected that all the fellas lie. I guess that’s a handy tips for the girls, then: always say that you’re with a friend even if you’re not, then they have to tell the truth! But then the girls are lying. Oh, the endless web of deceit!

31. Speed Dating Chickens

Often it’s the simplest ideas that most appeal. Especially within art, I find. You’ve seen speed dating boxes, well now here’s Speed Dating Chickens! Doug Savage does a marvelous job of producing cartoons of chickens on Post-It notes.

When I found this cool Speed Dating chicken cartoon, I emailed Doug for permission to use it, and lo and behold, there’s another Speed Dating chickens cartoon on his blog today!

Go to www.savagechickens.com/blog to see it, and all the other excellent chicken cartoons. But be warned: you may be there for some time! Some of the corporate ones are hilarious too.

Thanks Doug!
